Ramesh Ponnuru, a Bloomberg View columnist, is a senior editor for National Review, where he has covered national politics for 18 years, a visiting fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and a resident fellow at the University of Chicago's Institute of Politics. Ponnuru is the author of a book about the sanctity of life in American politics and a monograph about Japanese industrial policy. He has published articles in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal and Financial Times. He received a history degree from Princeton University.
